Jest to unikalna książka - album przestawiająca znane miejsca w Sandomierzu, w sposób, jaki jeszcze nigdy nie miał miejsca w formie papierowej i elektronicznej.

Miejsca uwiecznione na starych fotografiach (niektóre jeszcze z końca XIX w.) zostały porównane z ówczesnym ich wyglądem pokazując zmiany jakie zaszły na przestrzeni lat.

Autorka starała się aby współczesne fotografie były robione z tych samych miejsc, z których robione były ich stare odpowiedniki. Takie podejście do przedstawienia historii miasta pozwala na doskonałe zobrazowanie zmian jakie zaszły w krajobrazie Sandomierza w ciągu XX wieku.

Każdy z czytelników może na własne oczy zobaczyć zamiany jakie zaszły, gdyż dla każdej fotografii został wyznaczony punkt na mapie, a linki w książce (przedstawione jako kody QR) łatwo pokażą te miejsca na specjalnie przygotowanej mapie w Google Maps. Link do Google maps

It is a unique book – album, presenting famous places in Sandomierz, in a way it has never been presented in paper and electronic form.

The places from the old photos (some of them were taken at the end of the 19th century) were compared with their contemporary presentation, showing the changes that have taken place over the years.

The author has tried to take the contemporary photos from the same perspective as their old counterparts. This approach to the presentation of the history of the city provides an excellent image of the changes that have taken place in the landscape of Sandomierz in the course of the 20th century. Each reader may see the changes that have taken place, because for each photo there is a designated point on the map, and links in the book (presented as QR codes) will easily show those places on a specially prepared map in Google Maps. (Link to the map) With a smartphone or tablet with the Internet access it is easy to find the place from which the contemporary photos were taken. This is a unique presentation of old photos using the latest technology and Internet capabilities.

The album is the perfect guide showing the old and new Sandomierz to both locals and tourists who are here for the first time. It allows both of them to feel the passage of time and its impact on the landscape of the city.

The last part of the album shows photos of the Jewish part of Sandomierz, including a picture of removing Jews from the city in January 1942.

For the photos there are captions in 5 languages provided: Polish, English, German, French and Italian.
